A PSET Short Term Disability plan can provide the critical income protection needed during the Elimination Period of the Long Term Disability coverage. PSET plans offer benefits that are payable on the first day following an accident or the eighth day of an illness.
- Definition of Disability: A person is Disabled if, as a result of Sickness, Injury or Pregnancy, that person is unable to perform with reasonable continuity the material duties of his or her Own Occupation.
- Definition of Partial Disability: A person is Partially Disabled when he or she continues to work for the employer but, as a result of Sickness, Injury or Pregnancy, is unable to earn more than 70% of Pre-disability Earnings.
PSET provides 24-hour coverage for Disabilities that occur on or off the job.
